Dave Portnoy Paid $1 for Barstool Sports Back.
You probably heard that PENN Entertainment sold Barstool Sports back to the original founder, Dave Portnoy.

Happy Sunday! Can you believe it’s already August 13?
You probably heard that PENN Entertainment sold Barstool Sports back to the original founder, Dave Portnoy. It was likely the most talked about deal made this year. It was just in February when Penn fully acquired Barstool Sports. David Portnoy, the founder of Barstool Sports, is once again the sole owner of his media brand, after buying it back from Penn Entertainment for only $1 (not a typo)! We won’t bore you with the details, since you probably already know them. In case you don’t… take a look here.

🏟️ OSU faces devastating news at the “worst possible time”
Oregon State University just wrapped up construction of its remodeling of its new $160 million Reser stadium. The stadium is supposed to be able to hold more than 43,000 people, which is where the hefty cost comes from.
The renovation included a complete demolition and rebuilding of the west side of the stadium to include more seating space and a newer feel along with bringing in an additional $5 million in annual revenue for the athletics program. However, these new changes don't come with a small cost. The Oregon State athletics are now in a shaky situation after the destabilization of the Pac-12.
Now, OSU is headed for the Big Ten and they are being left with huge bills to pay. The money for the stadium was raised through donations and bonds, the $45 million in bonds needs to be repaid and currently OSU is looking at paying back the debt over 35 years. Sports economist Michael Leeds from Temple University says “this is really the worst possible news at the worst possible time.”
⛳️ Harry Kane to Bayern Munich According to Spurs Head Coach.
As the summer transfer window comes to a close we've received some exciting words from Tottenham Spurs head coach Ange Postecoglou. Postecoglou told reporters “It’s fair to say it’s progressed to the point where it looks like it’s going to happen.”
Harry Kane has been with the Spurs since 2009 not including his youth career playing 11 seasons for the English club. He has been given out on loans before to teams such as Leyton Orient, Millwall, Norwich City, and Leicester City but has stayed loyal to Tottenham. However, looking at these previous seasons with Kanes improving performance and the team's inability to secure the trophy it does not come as a surprise that he is moving to a team like Bayern Munich. Especially considering that the Englishman scored 30 goals in the 22-23 season outperforming his previous four seasons.
Bayern Munich has the most Bundesliga(top football league in Germany) titles out of any other team in the league. With such an impressive record as that they can afford the estimate of $109.7M(€100M) for Harry Kane's transfer fee. The deal has been accepted by the Spurs and now we're just waiting on Kane to accept or decline the offer. It looks like a great opportunity for the player to finally shine at a winning club but it all comes down to whether he takes the offer on the table.
🙍♀️ CNN analysis finds female soccer players earning just 25 cents to the dollar of men at the World Cup. That’s still a major improvement compared to last time in 2019. In 2019, it was a staggering low at less than eight cents per dollar, per data provided by FIFA and global players’ union FIFPRO. Read more about it here.
