Here’s How Josh Harris Plans to Change the Commanders Organization

Josh Harris is the new owner of the Washington Commanders, and it only cost him around $6.05 billion. Harris is betting big, that he can solve the Commanders financial troubles. Harris plans to increase revenues and profit. Here are some speculations on how he can make that happen:

  • The Commanders current stadium naming rights deal is worth $7.6 million a year. Analysts believe it could be canceled and replaced with a new deal worth at least $30 million a year.

  • The total annual local revenue includes tickets, parking, and sponsorships, and can potentially double from $173 million to $380 million.

  • The total annual overall revenue for the Commanders includes money from national broadcast deals and other media rights. This stream of cash will rise from $545 million to $959 million—or potentially surpass $1 billion if a new stadium is built.

Sure, we’re being bullish on Harris, but Harris led a group which acquired the Philadelphia Sixers for $280 million in 2011, and the organization is now worth more than $3 billion.

Yes, we know that all NBA teams increased in value (by a lot), but Harris has brought together a group of highly successful and wealthy investors. Some people part of the group include Magic Johnson, David Blitzer, Mitchell Rales, and more. We’ll keep you updated when the deal is 100% finalized. NFL team owners are set to meet this upcoming week, but have made the decision they will not be voting on the six billion dollar deal yet.

The Texas Rangers are Valued at $3 Billion With 10% Stake for Sale

Janice Simpson is reportedly putting her 10% stake in the Rangers up for sale at $300 million on the market, which now makes the worth of the Texas Rangers worth $3 billion.

To add some context, Rangers were valued at around $350 million in 2006. Over the past few years, the Rangers have been slowly building a strong organization, which now turns the Texas team into a team worth than $3 billion.

To add, according to the New York Post, the Rangers were among the 2023 offseason winners. Currently the Rangers are first place in the American League West.

Could Tom Brady own part of the Las Vegas Raiders?

Tom Brady isn’t returning to the NFL this season as a quarterback, but he could be returning as a part-owner, for the Las Vegas Raiders. The future Hall of Famer is apparently in talks with the Raiders on potentially becoming a part owner of the franchise.

In case you weren’t aware, Tom Brady has also already signed a 10 year, $375 million deal with Fox, who reportedly has blessed Brady’s potential deal in acquiring part of the Raiders.

The future Hall of Famer is having discussions with the Las Vegas Raiders on becoming a limited partner with the franchise. Brady already has a good relationship with Raiders owner Mark Davis.
